To all fighters from Bellator # 198 a Hugh "shout out" ...But especially to the many fighters that have fought on the XFO MMA mat's during their ammy and into thier Pro career.

Everyone of the below have fought in the XFO cages honing their MMA skills to get to the Bellator # 198 Cage ..Hoorah to one and all for making XFO MMA and Chi-town area fight fans proud.

It's time for Bellator #198 .....

It's 13 days out but ... Bellator # 198 isn't till Saturday April 28th at the Allstate Arena , Rosemont, Illinois.  But on a cold snowy day like today ,I figured its a good time to start getting "pumped" about it .

Since the the main event is the Heavyweight World Grand Prix  match of Fedor Emelianenko vs Frank Mir , it seemed like a good idea to revisit Fedor's last match in the Chicago area.  That match was Fedor Emelianenko vs Dan Henderson at StrikeForce's  July 2011 matches at the Sears Center in Hoffman Estates.

Was not the best night for Fedor since he lost by TKO\RSC in the first round .....

Since July 2011 , Fedor has had 2 wins in 2011, one win in each of the years of 2012-2015 -2016 . On 6/24/2017 he lost to Matthew Mitrione at Bellator # 180 by a KO at 1:14 of the first round.

That event's "photog pit" was one of the worst I have ever seen ...Completely out of control ...

Shoutout to "The Phenom" Douglas Lima...

This is a well deserved shout out to a great fighter, a great friend ,one hell of a classy guy and one of Bellator'sfinest Champion's . Tonight "the Phenon" will regain his title in Bellator's organizational debut in the UK in the main event for Welterweight of Douglas Lima vs Paul Daley on Spike TV tonight Saturday July 16th 2016 at I believe 9:00PM CST.

In celebration , I thought I would post a few favorite images I have captured of Douglas few years back.

To show what a classy guy Douglas is ....Quite often (most of the time) when I do photo sessions, other then basic touchup and many times files are turned over to a client right out of the camera. I get paid and never really know what happens to the files or how they are used.  Few years back Sucker Punch Entertainment hired me for a photo session with Douglas and Felice Herrig and as normal, files were turned over to Brian Butler.  Douglas being such a great guy , he took the time out of his busy schedule to autograph and mail me the below print a few weeks later which now hangs in a prominent spot in my office as one of my favorites.

Shout Out to Doulgas Lima who's doing work at Bellator #140

This Friday July 17th , a great fighter ...and a great guy will be back working at Bellator # 140 in Uncasville, Connecticut for the Welterweight Championship Title. 

Douglas "The Phenom" Lima will war with Andrey Koreshkov for that title ..
