Day one of the "UFC on Fox" in Chicago

Today (long time coming) brought the UFC Team to Chicago in preperation of the sold out Saturday night UFC on Fox at the United Center.  Todays event brought the UFC team to the time honored Sam Colona's Chicago Boxing Club on Halsted for a "open workout" with ;

-Phil Davis     -Chael Sonnen    -Chris Weidman    - Michael Bisping    -John-Olav Einermo

-Rashad Evans    -Demian Maia   - Mike Russow

Here's a few quick picks of the days action ..way too many to post all of them here ..

A giant Huzzah should go out to Mike Russow, Miguel and members of the Chicago Police Department for taking the time to talk and put on a exhibition for the young people attending at the Chicago Boxing Club..

Tommorow's event will be The Press Conferance at the W Hotel at 172 West Adams in Chicago from 1:00 to 3:00PM ...This conferance is open to the public and it will be a great opportunity to meet the fighters and of course, Dana White ..If you need inforamtion or directions feel free to text or call me at 630-258 8930..

Back Home ..A day of cold but ..

Today brought the lower tempertures and also the Ice Fishermen to to the lake to bring out the Ice Houses.  In the morning, (OK , it was really late morning by some peoples standards ,Nancy !) we saw the first actually Ice House and a four wheeler probably 100 feet from our bedroom window.  By days end , three houses and two huts.

You may ask "what is lower tempertures" ?  According to our Lake Beulah weather forcaster (Deb) it was 9 degrees F this morning and it's 2 degrees F as I write this.

By "A day of cold but" I am saying but means a great day which I thank God for the woderful life he has given me with good health (except for this stupid sinus infection which seems to go on for way to long) ..It will past ...Tommorow back to the world of Boxing

Open House for The Sports Center located at the Round Lake Area Park Districk 2004 Municipal Way .  Great night of performances by The Team HACP (Sparing sessions) ..Fres Oquendo in the house.Its a good cause, come on out.  Anybody that asks me  to take a picture with Fres , I will do so gladly and forward files to be used for Social Networking, Facebook, ETC.

Back Home ..Day of first's

Yesterday it was the first Lake Beulah Ice Report ....If I may follow in that theme and since its my blog I may.  Today was the day of first's ...

1) First Ice House  on the lake (really a hut/ tent but the first I have seen);

2) First time Deb and Tanner on the lake in 2012 (and no it's not really that cold, Deb just makes it look that way;

3) First four wheel tracks on the lake ,didn't go far but the guy (if it was a guy could have been a girl?) had brass balls;

 The fourth pic I just liked seeing the Ice House's lined up ready to be pulled on the lake. Of course, not beening on the Ice didn't the stop the Ice House nearest the lake from being used.  There were 3 guy's drinking beer and looked like having pizza watching "tip-up's" enjoying the day...According to them, the ice is 3" to 4"..

 Deb and Tanner walked till them found their feet in slush abd that was the end of the lake walk.  We are just not as brave as the four wheeler person.

Back Home ....Ice Report

This is the first Ice (for me anyway) report of Lake Beulah 2012...OK, there was one when I first saw ice but that's not the same as someone walking on the lake.  The one pic shows three gentlemen as far as I am concerned very "brave/  or foolish/ or  hardy" souls, I haven't figured out which,  venturing out a distance, their report from out there is 2 1/2 inches.

As you can see, Tanner's ready to run on the Lake but I'm not , so ...He's land bound (for a few days anyway) . Deb say's during her walk up the road there's Ice Fishermen out there sitting on pails.

Enhancing files

As my clients become more and more aware of how files can be changed (to have a different look)  there becomes more of a demand for "enhancements" .  For me, at times it's just to look a little different.

Here's a few demo's that I just put together so a client has choices of which way to go with a file order.

1) Stanard Print     2) Grayscale     3) Bleached Portrait    4) Bleached with edge 

5) Grunge with a edge

Myself , I am a fan of standard print and knowing I nailed the exposure and of course Grayscale prints . At times, a enhancement just hides exposure and focus error's that were made.  It is so much easier to enhance a "clean properly exposed file" but bad files are often saved by "looking different".

Womens Tactical Association -Battleware Photo Session

Windy City Fight Night #20 Weight In

Thursday December 15th, 2011          8 Count Boxing Gym   410 N. Oakley , Chicago , Illinois

Tonight I got to visit Dominick Pesoli's the "new" 8 Count Boxing Gym for the WCFN # 20 Weight In in preparation for the "Chicago Style Boxing Action" presented tommorow night at the UIC Pavillion. 

 Great turn for the weight-in , I always like to see that ..and the Weight In actually started at 7:00PM (like it was scheduled) ..was over at 8:00PM ..every fighter was on correct weight ...every fighter was on time and ready at 7:00PM ...I don't know if I should thank the promoters-the commission- or it was just the correct alignment of the earth, moon and sun ..But whatever it was THANK YOU.  I can finally be in bed before Midnight.

XFO 42 at the Sears Centre Weight-In

Let me check my list here ..the fighters have weight-in , they made "weight", they are all feeling pumped and ready to go for tommorows fight night , probably still eating tho , Dan Lardy and his XFO team has stacked the card and has done everything to make sure the best fans get the best MMA show..Yes ,everythings in place for XFO 42 fight night at the Sears Centre tommorow night.  Here's a few quick picks for the Weight-in tonight at the Marriott Hoffman Estates.

UFC Press Conference at the United Center

December 7th, 2011          United Center Chicago , Illinois

Been a long time coming and at last it's here ...UFC at the United Center ..YES ..To kick of the announcement of the upcoming January 28th UFC at the United Center , Dana White and many of the fighters held at Press Conference today ..

Besides Dana White, there was Rashad Evans and Phil Davis, Chael Sonnen and Mark Munoz , Michael Bisping and Demian Maia ...and the elite of MMA Media  ..and the best UFC fans in the world. Those fans got upclose to their UFC hero's ..It is so very great to see Dana White and the fighters spend hours talking to , getting their pictures taken with fans , signing and autographing everything in sight ..As one of my pic's will show..
