A week ago plus 48 hours ...US Cellular Field

It was a week ago plus 48 hours ago that I was loading up the car and heading South (Of course, I didn't know that I going to be traveling for three plus hour because of Foster being flooded) .. But if I thought I was "keyed up" because of traffic , there were a few fighters at US Cellular Field really "keyed up" and getting their "focus on" for their upcoming match for that night ... Lets revisit History from a week ago plus 48 hours.

I'm pretty sure that Donovan George would have done his celebration "back flip" at US Cellular Field on August 23rd.  But the ring was filled with so many  team and well wishers that there was no way to make space that night at the end of his match ..But this is what it would look like if he had room! ...

It's here the U.S. Cellular Field "fight week" ..

Today Round Three/ B96/ Hitz Boxing promotions started the U.S. Cellular Boxing fight week off with the Public/ media Open Workout held at the Bridgeport Boxing Club located at 3411 S. Halsted, Chicago.  Several of the fighters who are on the card this Saturday at U.S. Cellular Field gave the fans and the media a little preview of what they can see at U.S. Cellular Field.

Fighters working out this aftrenoon included ;

- Sergio Montes de Oca       -Fidel Navarette    -Mike Jimenez  - Frank Scalise and Main Event Title match Donovan George..

Tomorrow, the promoters of this great event will hold the final Press Conference at U.S. Cellular Field at 4:30 ...I will post information on other events this week like the weigh-in being held at U.S. Cellular Field Bacardi Bar on Friday.  Make plans to be there , this is not your typical weigh-in held at a back room of a little bar or restaurant ...This is the real deal , outside ..hopefully blue skies , plenty of room,a great chance to talk to the fighters, team members of the Chicago Boxing Community.
