May 25, 2012

Captured 5/23/2012 on Lake Beulah, Wisconsin                          Posted 5/25 Long Grove, Ilinois

A few days back, when returning from a cruise on the Debside ..after docking the pontoon, we noticed a Bass hanging around the stern.  When kneeling down, we could see the fry that the male adult was protecting ...thousands of them , from what I can read somewhere from 3,000 to 5,000 . What I don't know was when the eggs were hatched, I am assuming somewhere in the past 24 hours.

Yes my camera sensor needs cleaning but any spec's you see if you look close is the"fry"...

They are on the move because by morning they were gone ...I have no idea what those white butterfly type bugs are but plan on finding out.

I have photograph  quite a few different subjects over the years , let me tell you , fish are really hard to pose.  They just don't listen ..

Cheers, ..............Off to Bobby Hitz boxing at The Horseshoe Casino ..
