Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce you to a very special young man, a very special fighter. That man is Tommy Hughes.
On June 8th, 2018 at the Bobby Hitz Boxing matches during a six round match. A somewhat unusual call was made. At the 2:30 mark of the sixth round (yes 30 seconds left in the match) the fight was stopped. I would never say it was the wrong call or second guess a trained referee. But I can say that 99 percent of licensed fighters would have yelled, screamed and cried like a baby after that call. But Tommy Hughes had 30 seconds of confusion and accepted the call like a man ...Like I said Tommy is "one hell of a class act"....Tommy, you are "the Man"...I'm proud to have had the chance to watch you grow into the true professional that you have become.
