Kevin Switalla going "pro"

Its alway been a great kick for me to see an MMA amateur that I have watched over the years "go Pro" ....and Kevin Switalla is one of those. A few loss's and a few win's during the early training stages of 2010 but 2011 has been good for Kevin. A loss in January of 2011 to Phil Williams and then four wins to round out the year. 

Kevin's Pro debut is June 2nd ...HFC    http://www.hoosierfightclub.com/    at the Expo Center in Valparaiso, Indiana.  Check it out ..

I know I should have posted this days ago ...But give me some slack, six title fights that were posted (not all files but favorites and then 15 Main Card matches. It takes time to correctly post matches in folders rather than a "file dump" ...In any case, I made it within the week from "fight night".  Here's the Tomba Picks folder , a few favorites from each match..

Lets "Rumble on the River"

We all know what's happening in Atlanta tommorow night ...We would all love to be there but since we can't all pile in one car and go there and maybe instead of Fifty dollars plus for a PPV, there some other local choices.  If you go to Rockford, Illinois you will have the opportunity to share in Illinois MMA history. It's the 10 year anniversary of "The One and Only Rumble" ...Its "Rumble on the River" held at ;

The Lexington Hotel Cliffbreakers Riverside Resort   700 West Riverside Boulevard   Rockford, Illinois  815- 282 3033...and its as nice as it sounds (I hope they let me in) ...Here's a few Tomba Quick Picks from the official weigh-in tonight , sorry I couldn't post them all but will do so when the fights are posted.

So PPV ...or ticket to see the best local amatuer's in Illinois, at a great venue , with really special Round Card Girls ...with money left over for three beers (since I am guessing maybe more).

Lake Beulah "Burn" this morning ...

"They burned down the gambling house, it died with an a awful sound..Funky Claude was running in and out , pulling kids out the ground..When it was over we had to find another place .But swiss time was running out .It seemed that we would lose the race..Smoke on the water..Fire on the sky".

Yes, I should have been blasting "Deep Purple" but  ....I didn't and I won't get a second chance (I hope) ...

- The first 2012 Brat's were on the grill ..God bless John for getting such a awesome grill ..( I love that Grill);

-First look at the new Wave Runners that were picked up Tuesday night (Yes, Wave Runners, not Sea Do's) ...God bless Deb ..

-First 2012 Debside ride , Tanner and I did short Lake tour ....In keeping with my theme , I guess I should say God Bless Tanner.

Promoter Giovanni Gotti promised a stacked card and he didn't let the fans down ...It's a understatement to say "delivered the goods" and fans loved it. The fans would have liked to see a few less draws but lets face it, a draw normally means it was a good match where both fighters gave their all.

Not every match can be the main event ...Someone on the card needs to be first to fight, someone needs to fight without being televised, not pickup the "big check" but they are no less Champions of MMA.  With that being said here's some pic's of one of my favorites fights that the TV world never got to see..
