Earlier today while driving from East Troy, WI to Long Grove, IL my mind wandered to , what if I had purchased a Dearorff 8" x 10" negative camera back in my darkroom days ( is there a tradition darkroom person out there that hasn't had that thought?) What would my path had been, instead of dealing with promoters, fighters, publication, publicist's would somehow my work be in a gallery or My god.. a museum ...Probabely not but what if ???
And then I see a facebook message to Joey Hill about a friend of his who just brought a 1906 Cira Kodak, what fun that is to hold those old camera's. My plan was to post some images back from when a I using a Speed Graphic 4" x 5" from 1930's back in 2003-04. Actually I just wanted to check out those neg's to see if they were as good as I remember. Sadly , I couldn't find the old 250MB Lacie harddrives that contained all the College of Dupage darkroom work ,I'm thinking they are up in East Troy and it will be a few weeks before I get back up there to know for sure.
In lieu of posting those, I found one of the first digital files I captured. The above is from Deb's Fuji S2 taken 7/5/2003 at the Windy City Gym on Ogden, what a great gym, I think of it often.
Cheers
